Spending his entire youth around computers, a career in computers was something that was always calling. Nathan has been working in the sales and computer industry for 30 years having worked at retailing giants, JB Hifi and Harvey Norman in their computer sales departments.
With a wealth of knowledge in computing, starting a computer business was the next logical step.
In 2014, Nathan started Ballan Computers and has become a trusted name and business in the Moorabool Shire.

As the years have past, Ballan Computers has expanded to include the Melton and Sunbury areas. This has meant that not only our service area has increased, but so have the number of available technicians.
With Nathan and Ralf both available regularly, we’ve also added James and Tung to our team for after hours and weekend support Add in Steve as our Remote assist technician, Donna in Admin and Priscilla helping where ever she can we’ve got you covered.

Yes, We service a 25 km radius from Ballan including, Bacchus Marsh, Beremboke, Gordon, Greendale, Mt Egerton, Myrniong & Wallace. We Also service the Melton area.
Yes,
Services – We cover all our work with a 30 day workmanship warranty. If there is any issues left over from a Ballan Computers repair, we cover it free of charge within 30 days.
Hardware – If we supply new hardware for your computer, we cover the product with the same warranty the manufacturer does.
Refurbished & Second Hand Hardware – From time to time Ballan Computers my use second hand parts (with authorisation) or offer refurbished computers. In this case we offer a 3 month hardware warranty.
No, We charge for 1 hour minimum and then charge in 30 minute increments.
Ballan Computers are able to accept Cash, Credit Card, Bank Transfer and ZipPay.
For business customers only. We offer up to 14 days payment terms on labor.
Hardware & software purchases are payable to 50% before system is serviced or returned.
It really depends on the age of the Computer and what you’re wanting to achieve. In some cases a new or refurbished computer makes more sense than repairing an old computer. Our techs will advise if this is the case.
Ballan Computers no longer has a shop front. We are now an onsite service. We’ll make an appointment to come and see you at a time that suits you. Working from home, we’ll let you know if we need to take your computer away.
Really depends on the issue. We’ll make an appointment and see how we go fixing the issue onsite. If we require to take the computer away, its generally returned the within two days.
Each issue is different. We’ll have an idea how difficult the fix might be before we visit and give you notice that it might be difficult. There are very few issues we can’t resolve though.
In most cases Yes, We service all the major brands of Laptops. If there might be an issue, we’ll let you know to avoid lengthy waits or disappointment.
Yes, Ballan Computers offers data retrieval services. Even if you accidentally delete files, we can attempt to retrieve them. If we can’t we have relationships with specialists in the field.
We can certainly take a look at it. Overheating can happen for many reasons. We’ll need more information to give you a definitive answer.
There are some ways we can try get you logged in. Sometimes they work, other times they don’t. If we come across a password we can not reset, we do have a solution.
Yes, In most cases, we can assist in the recovery of product keys, It is important however to do this before a re-install.
